Using Virtual Reality Technologies for Medical and Engineering Education: Strategies and Examples

Using Virtual Reality Technologies for Medical and Engineering Education: Strategies and Examples

2:30-4:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 10

Speakers: Dr. Matt Bramlet (UI College of Medicine Peoria and JUMP Simulation) and Professor Brad Sutton (Department of Bioengineering, Beckman Institute)

In this workshop, Dr. Bramlet and Professor Sutton will show how they have used 3D modeling and virtual reality visualization technologies to teach courses in medicine and bioengineering. These techniques are broadly applicable across a range of disciplines, from civil engineering to urban planning to molecular biology. Participants are encouraged to share their 3D models in advance with Dr. Bramlet (Matthew.T.Bramlet@jumpsimulation.org) so he can use them in the second half of the workshop.
